Oh my goodness....

l've not been on here since 7th Dec. Must admit l have'nt done that much anyways, l'll have to have a look and see and post pics if there are any!!

Chinese outfits:o)))......

Hello

Here atlast are the outfits for our Chinese celebrations next weekend. Infact its my 60th birthday celebrations and the theme on Saturday is Chinese meal and clothes. We're off to Deven, 12 of us, l can't wait. There have beenloads of phone calls, text messages and letters between hubby and daughter arranging things, l am so excited.
The outfits:
Hubbies was made by me, the white is a kings size quilt cover l bought for £3 from a charity shop, the dark blue bits are from a blouse l bought from another c/shop and the braiding aand buttons from some cord l had.
The hat is a food cover from Ikea, l have filled the inside top with stuffing as its more than large and just added the straps, he can just have hanging down his back. He also has a false moustache.

Mine:-

The jacket l bought from a charity shop for £8 also the trousers for £4.75 but they were a size 22,l sewed the waist in and whalllahhh

Eva's bedspread......:~)

2 piccies of Eva's bedspread, atlast l have finished it.l have so enjoyed making it but oh gawd l did make a few mistakes, l think l have rectified them ok. It willhopefully be on Eva's bed tomorrow:~))))

3 unmounted rubber stamps from Xelacraft:o)

Here are the 3 unmounted rubber stamps, the detail is not very clear on here though, but the real thing is quite fine.
They measure : Poppies & Butterflies - 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
3 wise men - 2" x 2 1/2"
Snow in village 2" x 1"
l am very pleased with them and they only cost £6.09 (no post and packing)

Dolls cot bedding............

Hello ello.....the cot is from Freecycle on the net and l have made the bedding. l have just the varnishing to do then its all done. Must keep my eye on Freecycle!! :o)

Long time.......

Its along time since l was last here, been busyish but not as usual side-tracked. Have'nt made any xmas cards for ages, made one or two others though and l'm doing some sewing. Also been having ago at Altered Books, made abit of a mess with the first one but will keep going with it just to practise. l want to make an album when l know what l'm doing.
Also about to try and make 2 chinese outfits, must get going on that they are needed for Dec.

The garden is looking abit more respectable, still needs alot of weeding done though.

The grandchilren are still magical, and growing fast, nearly 2 yrs and nearly 18mths:o)

l've been putting together a package for my 2 young nephews in America, for halloween, they are both autistic and l know they will love it. Their dad is very arty so he'll help them make cards and/or posters, just need an ink pad now.

Elephant Hawk Moth Caterpillar.......

What a strange little thing, well not so little, he was about 2 and half inches long and as thick as my little finger,amazing.
